Her name is Sabrina, and she is probably one of the laziest and emotionally closed off people you will ever meet. Don't judge her for it; she's a lot smarter than you can imagine and is fiercely loyal to her true friends. A new graduate who majored in law and hoping to work for legal aid find a way of helping people in any way possible. She lives to achieve success, with no plans of execution. She maintains sanity, with her natural talent of repression; fitness, with weightlifting and circuits; and cheerfulness with singing and eating frequently. She is imperfect, and will always be honest about it.

"Ambition is a wonderful thing-it can drive you, it can exhaust you, but if you look at it in a positive way it can be very productive."-Steven McRae.
"I like to think that while striving to improve, it is important to acknowledge at every stage along the way, when you have achieved something."-Steven McRae.
I haven't written a proper blog in ages! It's the holidays now! =] Let's see...I woke up at 11am today...then went back to bed and woke up at 5pm hahaha. (I hope you're all using your time more productively than I am). Spent some good ol' quality time playing games on Orisinal. Yesterday was Ray-shell's 18th birthday karaoke which was uber fun :) I've missed going to karaoke! The day before, I randomly met Giles and KY on the bus going back to Chinatown and ended up joining them for some shopping and eating at Misato :D
Anyway, onto what I've wanted to blog for a while... I'm pretty sure anyone that I know who reads this has no idea who Steven McRae is. He is a ballerino (googled this to see if it makes sense but there seems to be a debate over it-oh well) and whilst waiting for one of my singing lessons, I came across an article about him in the Royal Opera House magazine. I picked up on 2 main quotes. 'Ambition is a wonderful thing-it can drive you, it can exhaust you, but if you look at it in a positive way it can be very productive'. Pretty much speaks for itself. I would love to be a barrister-but at the same time, I see the process of getting there very long and tiring (and I'm sure any of you in a similar situation for any other tertiary sector career would agree) but often what I do forget to do is see it as a positive thing. Reading the King's College prospectus gives me such a...spur of determination. Getting into there would be such an accomplishment for me and I know I still have a chance, so I'm going to keep working hard-even though the chances may be rather low compared to other applicants =]
The other quote? '(I look at my career with different eyes). I like to think that while striving to improve, it is important to acknowledge at every stage along the way, when you have achieved something'. Does this apply to you? I know it does to me. Since the beginning of this academic year (so far) I've done more work than I have in the whole of my previous academic year. Though this isn't nearly enough, being 'better than last year' means nothing if I don't produce the results I need to get into a good university. Therefore, acknowledgement will only happen when I receive some solid results. (Meaning March...=/). Nevertheless, remember to reward or congratulate yourself when you reach one of those small milestones ^^
Christmas soon, the joys...of needing to do revision. I suppose I will be up for quite a while tonight haha. Oh, &&& I would like to attempt making Oreo Balls at some point during this holiday =] I love College Candy & College Fashion. 'Live. Love. Learn. Leave a legacy'.
